The Cleveland Browns were trying snap a three-game losing streak and a 13-game losing streak on the road as they traveled to take on the Raiders in Las Vegas.
The Browns accomplished both with a convincing 24-10 win over the Raiders, led by the defense with 10 sacks on Geno Smith, including three by Myles Garrett.
And by the way, rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders led the Browns to the win as he threw for 209 yards with a touchdown in his debut.
The Browns had not won on the road in 2025 and have not won a road game since the second game of the 2024 season when they defeated the Jaguars, 18-13 in Jacksonville.
The Browns improve to 3-8 and will host the 49ers next Sunday at Huntington Bank Field.

This might be the most over analyzed start of a starting quarterback in the NFL. since the the preseason when Sanders started the first preseason game against the Panthers due to injuries to Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel and had an impressive performance in the preseason opener.
The Browns had a long drought when it comes to rookie quarterbacks in their first start. Overall in franchise history, the Browns had not won a game with a rookie starting quarterback since Eric Zeier led the Browns to a win in his first start as a rookie way back in 1995.
Since the Browns returned to the NFL in 1999, rookie quarterbacks starting were 0-13. The 13 rookie starting quarterbacks losing their first game includes Tim Couch, Spergon Wynn, Luke McCown, Charlie Frye, Colt McCoy, Branden Weeden, Johnny Manziel, Connor Shaw, Cody Kessler, DeShone Kizer, Baker Mayfield, Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Dillon Gabriel.
