'For sure...' - Fabrizio Romano makes 'dangerous' Arne Slot claim as Liverpool sack update…

Liverpool are not looking to part ways with head coach Arne Slot following their 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest at the weekend, GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano has revealed.

The reigning Premier League champions remain behind the Dutch tactician amid their dire run of results, losing six of their last seven league games.

Saturday’s defeat at Anfield saw Liverpool drop into the bottom half of the table for the first time this season and increased scrutiny on Slot, who has secured just three wins in Liverpool’s last 11 games across all competitions.

However, Romano claims the Reds are unlikely to make a knee-jerk decision on their head coach yet, although Slot ‘knows the situation is dangerous and complicated’ following a difficult start to his second season in England.

Liverpool Situation ‘Dangerous’ for Arne Slot

Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, revealed that Liverpool are not considering firing Slot at present and are not in talks with any other manager to potentially replace the Dutchman:

“At the moment, I don’t have any sort of information on Liverpool owners deciding to take a decision immediately, so I mean now, today, tomorrow on Arne Slot.

“Liverpool are not thinking about changing the manager now.

“Obviously, they, the owners and the club, want to see different kinds of results, different kinds of performances. They expect much more from Arne Slot and from this team.

“So for sure, Liverpool want to see something different from the manager and from the players, because this is not only Arne Slot, the players also have to take responsibility, as Virgil van Dijk said.

“Obviously, Arne Slot knows that the situation is dangerous and complicated now, but at the same time, Arne Slot can feel the backing and the support from the club.

“So Liverpool are not in talks with any other manager considering the possibility of firing the coach. That’s the situation as of today.”

Slot, who took over at Liverpool in the summer of 2024, enjoyed a dream first year at the helm by guiding the Reds to their second-ever Premier League title.

The Dutch tactician spent a whopping £450m on new signings following his first season at Anfield and broke the British transfer record with Alexander Isak’s arrival.

Isak’s form has been a particular point of concern during Liverpool’s poor run, with the Sweden international yet to score in five Premier League appearances.

Liverpool next take on PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Thursday, before visiting West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday.
