Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim could be forced to think outside of the box tonight as the Reds welcome Everton to Old Trafford. United are five games unbeaten in the Premier League and after defeats for the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City this weekend, Amorim will be hopeful his side can close the gap on those at the top.

If they are going to do that, they will need to manage without Benjamin Sesko. The centre-forward picked up a knee injury in the draw against Tottenham Hotspur and is out for a few weeks.

Matheus Cunha could also be missing after he suffered a training ground knock. The Brazilian had been expected to turn on the Christmas lights in Altrincham on Saturday evening but the organisers announced he had pulled out due to medical reasons.

So with potentially two absentees in the forward line, we could see a new role for Bryan Mbeumo. The Cameroonian has played as a No.10 since moving to Old Trafford but in the potential absence of Cunha and Sesko, Amorim could be tempted to have Mbeumo leading the line for United.

If this is the thinking, we can expect Mason Mount and Amad to play just behind him. Amad spent last season as the Reds' No.10 but has excelled in the right wing-back role this term.

The Ivorian's main strength remains his ability to attack so reverting back to the No.10 role should be no hardship. Noussair Mazraoui remains a solid option to fill in while Amad is being utilised further up the pitch.

On the left flank, it is a toss up between Patrick Dorgu and Diogo Dalot. Dorgu was favoured in the draw at Spurs and we expect the same to happen again on Monday night.

Dalot does not seem comfortable on the left and Dorgu is certainly the future in that role. The Dane impressed last week for his country and Amorim will hope he can utilise this form for United.
