Supercomputer makes barely believable claim about where Liverpool will finish this season

Liverpool find themselves 11 points off the top of the table already.

The Reds’ title defence has all but derailed as early as November, with their aim right now just being to get a run of wins under their belt.

They have lost eight of their last 11 matches, losing six Premier League games already, more than they lost in the entirety of last season.

This leaves Liverpool in the bottom half of the table, with fans now very worried about where they might end up come May.

A supercomputer, however, has given its prediction on where the Reds will finish, and Liverpool fans would bite your hand off given how barely-believable it is based on how things are going right now.

Supercomputer predicts Liverpool to finish third

The expectation for Liverpool this season was to win the Premier League, but after spending close to £450m, it was more of a requirement for their season.

But somehow, they have got far worse, with their chances of winning the league very much gone despite it not being mathematically impossible.

However, Sky Sports’ supercomputer is still backing them to have a fairly successful season, especially given how bad they have been thus far.

It has predicted Liverpool to finish third on 66 points, 12 behind the predicted winners Arsenal.

This also puts them below Manchester City and just above Chelsea who complete the top four, with this being something Reds fans would absolutely take right now.

It is certainly possible given how long left of the season there is, but whether it is believable is another thing.

Liverpool must get top four

Although winning the league again was the top priority, things have shifted pretty fast and now their goal has to be top four.

This is the bare minimum and if Slot does last until the end of the season but does not achieve this, then he will very likely be sacked.

Champions League football is something Liverpool have to be playing in no matter what, especially after the money they have spent, but it will be a big ask from here.

If they do finish third, though, then it suggests the remainder of the season will be a very exciting one for Reds fans, so at least there could be that to look forward to.
