Man United forward Matheus Cunha picked up a knock in training on Friday, and is a doubt for the Everton game on Monday.
The Red Devils are going into the game hopeful they can secure three points, and potentially climb up to third in the Premier League table. With the likes of Man City, Liverpool and Spurs losing over the weekend, it hands United a chance to climb the table.
However, going into the game, Ruben Amorim has a few injury concerns to worry about. Benjamin Sesko has been ruled out with a knee injury and could miss several weeks, meaning that Matheus Cunha would be in line to start against Everton on Monday night.

But Cunha recently picked up a knock in training, and so he is now a doubt heading into the game. So, the question is whether he will be available for selection, or Amorim will have to consider a different target.
Cunha a doubt for Man United against Everton
The Brazilian striker picked up a minor knock during training on Friday morning. He had to withdraw from a Christmas lights turn on in Altrincham on Saturday night, as the organisers released a statement confirming his absence.
Visit Altrincham said via the Standard: “Unfortunately Matheus Cunha has had an accident in training today and will not be able to attend tonight’s Christmas Lights Switch on in Altrincham due to medical reasons.”
The ‘accident’ in question hasn’t been confirmed, so it is not yet clear whether the former Wolves striker will be fit to start against Everton at Old Trafford.
Who could Amorim choose instead?
If Cunha doesn’t start up front, then it could open the door to Joshua Zirkzee who hasn’t had much opportunity this season under Amorim. He’s made just four Premier League appearances for United this season.
Zirkzee could be in line to start, but if Amorim wanted to go elsewhere, he could play Mason Mount as a false nine, or potentially call upon 17-year-old Chido Obi Martin, who has performed well for the United youth teams.
