Aaron Gordon is one of the Denver Nuggets’ most important stars. An argument can be made that the NBA champion is the No. 2 player on the team. However, Gordon picked up an injury early in their game against the Houston Rockets, and the diagnosis is not good.
The 30-year-old is averaging 18.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game this season. The team will feel his absence sorely as they continue to contend for the second seed in the Western Conference. Gordon has picked up a hamstring strain and will miss more than a month of action.

“Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon has sustained a Grade 2 right hamstring strain and will be re-evaluated in 4-to-6 weeks,” Shams Charania reported. If Gordon is set to be re-evaluated after a month at least, then he is likely to miss nearly two.
This would mean that Denver will be without AG for all of December as well as January. He is likely to miss over 15 games, which will also render him ineligible for NBA honors. Thankfully for Nuggets fans, their schedule till the middle of January isn’t the toughest.

The Nuggets are currently tied with the Los Angeles Lakers, boasting a 12-4 record. Without Gordon, other role players will have to step up, and their roster depth will be tested. It wouldn’t be surprising to see them lose a few more games than they normally would in the coming months, though.
