For majority of Sunday’s home AFC clash against the Indianapolis Colts, the Kansas City Chiefs looked like they were going to drop their third consecutive game.
The Chiefs however were able to rally from a 20-9 fourth quarter deficit before eventually winning the Week 12 NFL contest in overtime with a score of 23-20.

While the win was an important one for Kansas City’s playoff hopes this season, Andy Reid’s team did not come away from the victory unscathed as the Chiefs have also been left to deal with injuries to key players, three of which were unable to return against the Colts including guard Trey Smith.
Chiefs’ injury concerns
“As far as the injuries go, Trey Smith hurt his ankle,” Reid said after the game as per Charles Goldman of A to Z Sports. “(Mike) Caliendo came in and did a nice job for him, but we’ll see how it is as days go forward.

“(Chris) Roland-Wallace hurt his lower back. Again, we’ll just see how it goes this week. And then Noah (Gray) got hit in the head, and so he’ll go through evaluations there, so we’ll see how that goes.”

With KC currently sitting at third in the AFC West with a 6-5 record, Reid will hope that such injuries don’t prove to be too serious moving forward, as his side seeks to finish the season strong and book a spot in this year’s NFL playoffs.
