The Cleveland Browns started quarterback Shedeur Sanders for the first time this season because of Dillon Gabriel being in concussion protocol against the Las Vegas Raiders. Sanders completed 11-of-20 passes for 209 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in a 24-10 win for Cleveland over Las Vegas.

The Browns improve to 3-8 on the season and the Raiders drop to 2-9. Cleveland showed some improvement on offense yesterday, but head coach Kevin Stefanski drew up some trick plays as well on offense. After the game, he spoke to the media and was asked if he is going to start Sanders again next week. Stefanski didn’t seem committed to the idea and said, “I’m not going to get into that.” It will be interesting to see what happens as the week moves on.
Cleveland Browns Fans Erupt Over Kevin Stefanski’s Comments About Possibly Not Starting Shedeur Sanders In Week 13

Cleveland will return home next week and face a much better San Francisco 49ers (7-4 record) football team. San Francisco is a much better defense than Las Vegas is. With Stefanski leaving the door open for Gabriel to start against the 49ers instead of Sanders, a lot of Browns fans are upset at this potential possibility.
This is what some Cleveland fans had to say about Stefanski’s comments on Twitter:
Stefanski will lose the locker room, not to mention the fans, if he doesn’t start #12 next week. And regardless, Stefanski will eventually be out of a job before Sanders.

Stefanski always has to try to be the “smartest guy in the room”. Only BAD teams play the game of having their opponent guess which shitty QB they have to prepare for. Just let Shedeur play and see what he is. Gabriel is a backup, at best.

Shedeur Sanders & Dillon Gabriel’s most yards in a game:
Shedeur Sanders:
11/ 20 passes for 209 yards on November 23 vs Las Vegas Raiders (1st start).
Dillon Gabriel:
29/52 passes for 221 yards on October 12 vs Pittsburgh Steelers (2nd Start).#Browns #football

Proof some people care more about winning with their guy than winning.

Zero reason to go back to Gabriel

There will be a strong reaction from this Cleveland fanbase if they go back to Gabriel for Week 13 instead of starting Shedeur again. He had a full week of preparation and looked decent. Browns fans know what they have win Gabriel already. They want Stefanski to make the rational decision and play Sanders for the rest of the season. If not, Cleveland fans will be calling for his job.
