Everton are preparing to take on Manchester United in their next Premier League match. The Toffees earned a 2-0 win against Fulham in their last outing before the international break.

Goals from Michael Keane and Idrissa Gueye ensured a comfortable home win for David Moyes' side. Everton will hope to carry that momentum through to their clash with United as they eye a possible European place.

Ruben Amorim's side most recently required a last-minute goal from Matthijs de Ligt to save a point against Tottenham Hotspur. That result extended United's unbeaten run to five league games and the Red Devils could move into the top four with a win.

Moyes will hope Everton can be the one to break that run of form and earn his first victory at Old Trafford as an opposition manager. Here, ECHO Sport provides all the details needed to follow the action.

Team news

Everton are preparing to face United without defenders Jarrad Branthwaite and Nathan Patterson. Midfielder Merlin Rohl will also be absent following a hernia operation.

"Unfortunately, Merlin had an operation a week last Monday on his hernia," Moyes said. "It's going to keep him out for a few weeks. Hopefully by the time we get around to December, he'll be fit and ready to go again."

As for United, Matheus Cunha is a new fitness doubt. The United attacker is believed to have picked up a problem during training, leading to his absence from a Christmas lights switch-on event where he was due to make an appearance.

Benjamin Sesko picked up a knee problem in the draw with Spurs and will miss the Everton match. "He is going to stay a few weeks out," Amorim said.

Harry Maguire also sustained a muscle problem against Spurs and will not feature in the forthcoming fixture. Meanwhile, Kobbie Mainoo must shake off a recent knock to be in contention against Everton.

Lisandro Martinez continues his lengthy spell on the sidelines for United. The defender underwent an operation on a knee injury he picked up in February, though his recovery is progressing well.
