Browns to start Sanders again vs. Niners

Shedeur Sanders has earned himself another start.

Following his strong play in the Cleveland Browns’ 24-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, head coach Kevin Stefanski says the rookie out of Colorado will be under centre next Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.

In his first career start, Sanders threw for 209 yards on 11-for-20 passing with a touchdown and an interception.

The 23-year-old Sanders, son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, gets the nod at QB even with Dillon Gabriel, a fellow rookie who’s started six games for the team, has cleared concussion protocol.

A native of Tyler, TX, Sanders was taken with the 144th overall selection of this past April’s 2025 NFL Draft.
