Man Utd vs Everton LIVE: Premier League latest score and confirmed lineups

Manchester United take on Everton at Old Trafford tonight as they look to continue to their climb up the Premier League table.

It’s five games without a defeat for Ruben Amorim’s side – showings signs of a revival against Sunderland, Liverpool and Brighton but with some of the some old frailties on show in draws with Nottingham Forest and Tottenham.

The United squad has been relatively injury-free in recent weeks but will be without Benjamin Sesko for a few weeks as a result of a knee injury.

In a further spanner to the works, Matheus Cunha, the man most likely to replace Sesko up top, could also be a doubt tonight after a ‘training ground accident’ that meant he missed out on a lovely evening switching on the Christmas lights in Altringham on Saturday night.

David Moyes is back at his old club where he managed just four victories in his 25 games against United during his first spell in charge as Everton boss.

Matheus Cunha’s mystery injury

Tony Mogan

Matheus Cunha was expected to lead the line in Sesko’s absence tonight.

But the Brazil international is a doubt himself after it emerged he was involved in a ‘training ground accident’ that meant he was unable to attend a community event turning on Christmas lights in Altrincham on Saturday night.

The injury is thought to be a minor one but he is a major doubt as we approach kick-off.

It could open the door for Joshua Zirkzee to come in and start his first league game of the season.

Man Utd team news

Tony Mogan

Ruben Amorim’s side has been relatively injury free in recent weeks but one of their summer signings is now facing a spell on the sidelines.

Sesko was forced off late on in the 2-2 draw with Tottenham with a knee problem, prompting fears over the international break having also not joined up with the Slovenia squad.

The 22-year-old has avoided any serious damage but will not be available until mid-December at the earliest.

Harry Maguire is also set to miss out but Kobbie Mainoo could be included despite missing training last week.
