Manchester United youngster Shea Lacey has been included in the first-team squad to face Everton. United will return from the November international break by welcoming Everton to Manchester tonight, and Ruben Amorim has named Lacey in the senior squad for the first time.

Amorim praised Lacey at his pre-match press conference, saying: "I'm really happy with him. I think he struggled a little bit with injuries, they did a very good job balancing his body, you can sense that he can manage more load during training.

"He has a lot of talent, but when they come here, they can sense the speed is completely different, so they need to spend more time with us to be prepared, because our trainings are hard, at Premier League games, with the pressure it's harder, so they need to be ready."

Lacey is pushing towards making a senior debut. The 18-year-old has always been one of the most highly regarded talents in his age group and has consistently performed in this campaign.

The forward received his maiden Under-20 call-up during the October international break. Lacey also received the opportunity to train with England's first-team at St. George's Park.

In the last few years, footage of Lacey playing for United's academy has gone viral on social media and such clips have amassed thousands of views.

Lacey was born in Merseyside and comes from a family of Liverpool fans, but he's a United supporter and grew up idolising multi-Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi.

He has predominantly played on the right wing, but coaches in the academy like to challenge youngsters in different positions across the attack and Lacey is a versatile player.
