Manchester United vs Everton team news and match preview
Man Utd are without a key player as they face Everton in the Premier League on Monday night.
Matheus Cunha was ruled out of Manchester United's clash with Everton in the Premier League as a precaution after he suffered a knock in training over the weekend.
The Brazilian was due to attend a local Christmas event in Altrincham on Saturday evening, but was forced to withdraw after he experienced a 'minor injury issue' in training. United sources played down the severity of the issue over the weekend but it was serious enough for him to miss the clash with Everton on Monday night.
Cunha was replaced in the starting line up by Joshua Zirkzee as Ruben Amorim made two changes from the side that drew with Tottenham Hotspur before the November international break. The other change saw Leny Yoro selected in defence over the injured Harry Maguire.

United confirm Cunha injury blow
Matheus Cunha was ruled out of Manchester United's clash with Everton in the Premier League after he suffered a training injury over the weekend. Speaking ahead of kick-off, Ruben Amorim insisted it was not a 'serious' setback but claimed United could not afford to 'risk' such a key player when he was not fully match fit.
"It was a knock in training," Amorim told broadcasters ahead of the match. "So I don’t know how long he’s going to stay out, I think it’s nothing serious, but we cannot risk players."
United have made two changes to their line up from the 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur, with Joshua Zirkzee handed his first start of the season. The Dutch forward has only made five substitute appearances across all competitions this season and has played the third-fewest minutes of any player in the United squad.
It means Senne Lammens keeps his place in goal after he made his international debut for Belgium over the recent break. Matthijs De Ligt starts in the centre of defence, with Leny Yoro and Luke Shaw in the other back three roles.
Noussair Mazraoui and Patrick Dorgu start in the wing-back roles with Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes chosen in the central midfield positions. Zirkzee has been named in a fluid front three alongside Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo.
