Shedeur Sanders had the opportunity to make the first NFL start of his career against the Las Vegas Raiders, a game that ended with a 24-10 win for the Browns in week 12.
The ex-Colorado quarterback had to wait for many weeks to play his first snap as he was serving as Dillon Gabriel’s backup for 11 weeks, and got to first get on the field during the Ravens game in the third quarter.

Sanders finished the game while completing 11-of-20 passes for 209 yards, and secured one touchdown and one interception.
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski announced on Monday that Shedeur Sanders will remain the team’s starter in week 13 during the matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, which drew various reactions from the fans:
“Haters in shambles they tried to tear him down & tell us he wasn’t good. Not only do we know he’s good, he’s put real life and hope into his team and it shows.” one fan commented.
“This was a no brainer. Win = continue on. He showed more promise in one game than anything Gabriel did. Give him a long leash and she’s what he’s got.” another fan added.
“After posting the three longest passing plays of the#Browns offense this year After seeing how the team around him responded in his first start ZERO CHANCE they could give the keys back to Gabriel.” another fan wrote.
“I cannot wait to see more of what the same people who were gassing Manziel have to say about this. Kiss my ass. Go, Shedeur.” another fan shared their excitement.
“Impressed? Who did he impress? He barely got over 50% completion against one of the worst defenses, and his TD pass was a dump pass that just happened to go for a 50yd td.” Another fan took a shot at Shedeur.
“I thought all the Browns fans are claiming their Head Coach is “racist” just because he wasn’t named the starter immediately after beating the Raiders, who suck. Where are you people now? He is giving a BLACK man the job. “Thug” it out with Shedeur. Won’t be good.” another fan pointed out.

Skip Bayless Blasts Tom Brady After Shedeur Sanders’ Impressive Performance During Raiders-Browns Matchup
After Shedeur Sanders showed off his impressive skills during the Raiders game, Skip Bayless took the opportunity to take a shot at Tom Brady.
Brady has 10% ownership stake in the Raiders, and due to the seemingly good relationship he had with Shedeur and his dad, Deion Sanders, fans were shocked when the franchise skipped him during the 2025 NFL Draft.
Bayless said Shedeur was raised to do what he did at Las Vegas, highlighting the fact that Brady, who is considered the greatest quarterback ever, first mentored him through high school and college and then sold him out.
“There’s something Tom didn’t like, because there’s something that a lot of teams didn’t like. And maybe it emanated from Brady’s inside word.”
The analyst conspired that Brady told the Raiders to pass on Shedeur Sanders, calling the 7x Super Bowl champ, “two-faced.”
