Arsenal are heading into the January transfer window not needing to make any big money signings, as Mikel Arteta arguably has the best squad, not only in the Premier League, but potentially in Europe.

However, reports have said that they could sell both Gabriel Martinelli and Ben White, as it has been said they’d ‘listen to offers’ for the duo. Martinelli is estimated to be worth around £40m, but, if the Gunners do sell him, they’d need to replace him.

Arsenal could swap Martinelli for Semenyo

The transfer market was shaken up recently after it was revealed that Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo will have a £65m release clause in the January transfer window. The 25-year-old has been one of the best players in the Premier League so far this season, and so unsurprisingly, there is ample interest in him.

Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Man United have all been named as potentially interested in buying Semenyo in January, however, the Gunners would only likely do a deal if they were to sell big first. What they could do is kill two birds with one stone, and offer Martinelli in part-exchange for Semenyo, to benefit both clubs.

The Gunners would get one of the best players in the league, Bournemouth would get a superb replacement for Semenyo in Martinelli, and Martinelli himself would likely get much more regular game time.
