£40m star starts as Maresca makes two changes | Predicted Chelsea XI vs Barcelona

Bad moments' - Alejandro Garnacho breaks silence on bitter Man Utd exit after star display for Chelsea in Champions League win over Benfica | Goal.com India

Chelsea host Barcelona tomorrow at 20:00 local time at Stamford Bridge on matchday five of the UEFA Champions League as they look to go unbeaten for a fourth straight game in the competition after an opening day defeat to Bayern Munich.

Having seen off Burnley with a hard-fought success at the weekend, the Blues have had only two days to prepare for the game but considering it is their biggest European Cup tie at home so far this year, they will be motivated to pick up all points on offer.

With that said, here is how Enzo Maresca’s men could line-up for the clash.

Goalkeeper – David Raya is expected to retain his place in between the sticks.

Defenders – Tosin Adarabioyo and Trevoh Chalobah played together against Burnley and kept a clean sheet, and with Chelsea’s injury woes at the back, the duo are likely to be entrusted as the central defenders.

Reece James and Marc Cucurella, meanwhile, could start at right and left back, respectively.

Caicedo in midfield, Garnacho on the left

Midfielders – Moises Caicedo was rested against Burnley at the weekend, but is expected to return to the team for the Barcelona meeting, potentially replacing Andrey Santos. Enzo Fernandez could partner with the Ecuadorian in the double pivot. And while Cole Palmer has returned to training, Joao Pedro might still continue to play as the attacking midfielder for this clash.

Pedro Neto is in fine form and could also be in the starting eleven at right wing, while Jamie Gittens might return to the bench to make way for £40 million summer signing Alejandro Garnacho.

Forward – Liam Delap is expected to lead the line for Chelsea ahead of Marc Guiu, who could come off the bench at some point for an appearance against his former side tomorrow.

Here is how the Chelsea team may look on paper.
