Gary Neville couldn't quite believe what Everton player did in the 79th minute vs Man United

Everton had to suffer for large portions of the game, but they managed to secure a memorable win against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Everton were down to 10 men for most of the game as Idrissa Gana Gueye was shown a red card for slapping his own teammate Michael Keane.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall ended up being the match-winner as he curled home a stunning right-footed effort into the top corner in the first half.

Who was your MOTM vs Man United?

The former Chelsea midfielder will earn most of the plaudits, and rightfully so, but Gary Neville was left stunned by another Toffees star for what he did in the second half.

Gary Neville blown away by Jordan Pickford’s save against Man United

With Everton hanging on to a one-goal lead, they had to soak up a lot of pressure from United heading into the latter stages of the game.

It looked for all the world like Joshua Zirkzee’s header in the 79th minute was going in until Jordan Pickford pulled off a sensational save.

Commentating on Sky Sports, Neville was blown away and heaped praise on the Toffees shot-stopper.

“That is a hell of a save,” the former Man United defender admitted.

“Brilliant. He has to backpedal and then full stretch, the spring, the agility of Pickford.”

That save was probably just as important as Dewsbury-Hall’s goal, but it will go under the radar as always with Pickford.

Thierno Barry deserves a lot of credit too

Another Everton player who may well have gone under the radar this evening was Thierno Barry, who produced a battling display up front.

Once the Toffees went down to 10 men, it was evident that chances would be few and far between, so he had to focus on making the ball stick when it arrived.

Should Gueye have been sent off?

Barry actually won 14 aerial duels in the game, which is two more than any other player in a Premier League game this season.

Barry was brilliant against Fulham just before the international break, too, so it seems he’s finally starting to find his feet.
