Manchester United's 1-0 defeat to Everton will be mostly remembered for two things; Idrissa Gueye being sent off in the 13th minute for slapping his own team-mate, and the Red Devils subsequently failing to break down a ten-man rearguard from David Moyes' side.
It was a bizarre evening at Old Trafford which included one of the strangest red cards in Premier League history, but United's failure to put the Toffees under enough pressure to find an equaliser was just as perplexing. With Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha both missing due to injury, United struggled to find a bright spark in attack.
Moyes, meanwhile, found the first away win at Old Trafford throughout his entire career, after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's wondergoal gave Everton a shock 1-0 lead. James Tarkowski and Michael Keane then proceeded to orchestrate a defensive masterclass, albeit requiring a world-class save from Jordan Pickford after Joshua Zirkzee almost headed home late on, as Everton sat deep and soaked up pressure.
Ruben Amorim couldn't find the formula to even rescue a draw as Everton took all three points. Here's a look at how each player performed across the ninety minutes at Old Trafford.

Senne Lammens - 5
Questions over whether he could've done better for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's screamer with a firmer arm. Perhaps a harsh analysis, but the Belgian ultimately didn't have any chances to make amends.
Lenny Yoro - 5
Was turned inside out by Dewsbury-Hall for the only goal of the game.
Mattjis De Ligt - 6
Didn't give Theirno Barry a sniff and played a few excellent forward passes.
Luke Shaw - 5.5
Did his job defensively and delivered some decent crosses from deep, but could have easily been 10 yards further forward for a lot of the second half.
Noussair Mazraoui - 5
Hooked off at half-time after a relatively uneventful first half.
Patrick Dorgu - 6
Taken off after 57 minutes. Didn't offer much in attack.
Casemiro - 5.5
Taken off alongside Dorgu having received a booking. Didn't do a great deal wrong but wasn't his kind of game after Everton went down to 10 men.
Bruno Fernandes - 6.5
Did his best to dictate the game with the ball and was predictably progressive in possession. But never had a defining moment and always seemed a bit too deep to really make something happen.
Bryan Mbeumo - 7
Tried grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck and drifted inside to create a two-man front-line at times. He caused the most problems of any United player, but it ultimately wasn't enough.
Amad Diallo - 6.5
Bright in moments when he managed to link up with Mbeumo, but had limited impact after being pushed back to right wing-back.
Joshua Zirkzee - 5
A big opportunity in Benjamin Sesko's absence but he simply didn't deliver. A late header which drew a top-class save from Jordan Pickford was his only quality effort at goal.
Substitutes
Diogo Dalot - 5 - Didn't make any real difference after coming on
Mason Mount - 6 - Had some bright moments with multiple efforts at goal
Kobbie Mainoo - 5 - Struggled to get on the ball or have any impact on the game.

Jordan Pickford - 8.5
Appeared to be a calming influence in the aftermath of Gueye's sending off and produced a series of excellent saves to keep the clean sheet.
Seamus Coleman - 3
Withdrawn due to injury after just ten minutes
James Tarkowski - 8
This kind of game was made for a defender like Tarkowski and he absolutely thrived, defending his penalty box with pride.
Michael Keane - 9 (Man of the Match)
As formidable as Tarkowski but gets an extra mark for a superb slide tackle and the fact he recovered brilliantly from the incident involving Gueye. Could have gone within himself but put it out of his mind to play an integral role.
Vitalii Mykolenko - 7.5
Had spells where he struggled to cope with Mbeumo and Amad but ultimately held firm under pressure.
Idrissa Gueye - 1
A 13th-minute red card for slapping your own team-mate. Enough said.
James Garner - 8
Worked tirelessly in an outnumbered midfield, provided the assist to Dewsbury-Hall's winner and gave a hint of a threat at rare set pieces.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - 8.5
Fabulous strike amid an incredibly industrious, all-round performance
Jack Grealish - 7
A few moments of typical individual brilliance and worked his socks off defensively, but no defining moment.
Thierno Barry - 8.5
Great performance from the youngster who won an incredible 14 aerial duels. Gave vital respite amid wave upon wave of United attack.
Substitutes
Jake O'Brien - 7 - Deserves credit for acclimatising quickly after starting off as a substitute. Played his part in an excellent rearguard display.
Beto - 6 - Only briefly on the pitch but made a vital clearance in his own box
Tim Iroegbunam - 6 - Only briefly on the pitch but gave Everton some threat on the counter-attack
