SNL star Colin Jost hilariously spoke a Christian McCaffrey touchdown into existence while making an appearance on ESPN’s ‘Manningcast.’

With just under five minutes remaining in the third quarter of Monday’s matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers, McCaffrey — who was recently dubbed a “closet nerd” thanks to a secret talent — received a toss from quarterback Brock Purdy and rumbled 12 yards downfield on a touchdown run.

Moments before McCaffrey trotted untouched into the end zone, Jost predicted that the running back would be the next to score in the contest. “I, oh man, I think McCaffrey is gonna run it in,” he said.

Once McCaffrey punched it in, Jost emphatically exclaimed: “Oh! I said it before. Put me on the wall.” ‘Manningcast’ co-host Eli Manning swiftly obliged, placing a life-size cutout of the 43-year-old’s face onto the “perfect prediction panel.”

Michael Che — Jost's co-host on SNL's Weekend Update— argued that he too deserved a spot on the wall, chiming in: “I did say they would want to keep it out the air, but I went with the sexy pick.”

In order to keep all parties happy, Manning compromised by putting Che's face on the almost perfect panel.

Once the dust finally settled on the 49ers' 20-9 win over the Panthers, McCaffrey rushed 24 times for 89 yards and a touchdown while additionally reeling in seven catches for another 53 yards.

The dominant performance from McCaffrey was all the more sweet considering it came against the team that drafted him.

Back in October 2022, the Panthers dealt the Stanford product to the 49ers in exchange for a trade package that included a 2023 second-round pick, 2023 third-round pick, 2023 fourth-round pick, and a 2024 fifth-round pick.

Speaking to reporters earlier in the week, McCaffrey asserted that he was treating Monday's contest — which marked his first faceoff versus the Panthers since being traded — the same as any other game.

"I take every game seriously, and this one, I also take very seriously," he said on Thursday. "It's a big game for all of us. And for us, it's about going out there, having a great week of practice and a great week of prep, and executing at a high level."

Still, McCaffrey conceded prior to kickoff that there would likely be a little bit more "natural emotion" upon taking the field. Addressing what it was like seeing many of his former teammates, he told Lisa Salters following the game: "It was good, man.

"I mean, it's just great to see a lot of — especially after the game — see a lot of the guys that I used to play with for a long time. Guys that I've built brotherhoods with over the years, and just really thankful I got to see them and proud of them.

"Always have a lot of respect for Charlotte and that city and those fans. But obviously it's a football game, so trying to win.
