The Minnesota Vikings simply could not keep up with the Green Bay Packers in Week 12. In Sunday’s meeting between the two NFC North rivals, it was Jordan Love and company who dominated on the field, as the Packers came away with a 23-6 win over the visiting Vikings, who didn’t have much to offer on either side of the ball.
JJ McCarthy was hounded by Green Bay’s defense all game long. Minnesota’s offense generated just 145 total yards and hurt itself with three turnovers. Two of those were interceptions thrown by McCarthy, while the other was a fumble by Myles Price on a punt return try.
Vikings had putrid offense in Week 12 loss to Packers
Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons (1) sacks Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy (9) during their football game Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
McCarthy passed for only 87 yards with zero touchdowns on 12-of-19 pass completions. The rushing attack of Minnesota was more efficient as it produced 93 yards on 20 carries, but it also did not find the end zone.
All points of the Vikings came from the two field goals made by kicker Will Reichard.
With just six points to show in Week 12, the Vikings also hit a low point in their rivalry against Green Bay.
“The Vikings scored the fewest points against the Packers since 2010,” wrote NFL on ESPN in a social media post on X.
Green Bay did not overwhelm either on offense, but it did more than enough to blow out the Vikings, who allowed 288 total yards to the Packers. The star of the game on that side of the ball for Green Bay was running back Emanuel Wilson, who rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries in a start in lieu of injured running back Josh Jacobs.
