Liverpool will come up against an in-form PSV Eindhoven team on Wednesday as they look to pick themselves up from the floor.
The Reds have been in decent enough nick in the Champions League so far this season, and need to continue that to beat the Eredivisie champions.
PSV got the better of an understrength Liverpool team last season, and it is clear that Peter Bosz has some real talent within his squad.

They may have lost star man Johan Bakayoko to RB Leipzig over the summer, but they also made some smart additions themselves, including that of centre-back Yarek Gasiorowski from Valencia.
As Rousing The Kop reported while noting Liverpool’s interest in Cristhian Mosquera last November, the Reds were also keeping an eye on Gasiorowski’s progress at Mestalla.
Having since made the move to Eindhoven, the 20-year-old has quickly become a key player for Bosz’s table-topping side. On Wednesday, Liverpool supporters should be looking to see if he could be a potential solution to their centre-back worries.

Yarek Gasiorowski is emerging as a top young defender
Liverpool may be kicking themselves that they did not pull the trigger on either Mosquera or Gasiorowski last summer. Both went on to change clubs, and both have done exceptionally well out so far.
Mosquera is the bigger name having slotted seamlessly into Arsenal’s defensive roster, but Gasiorowski is playing more regularly.

The left-footed Spain U21 stopper has started 12 of PSV’s 13 Eredivisie matches so far this season and has played all but 45 minutes of their four Champions League outings.
Signed for just £8.8m, Gasiorowski has been an absolute bargain for Bosz. If he continues his trajectory, they will make a huge profit on his sale in the years to come.

Liverpool are very much still in the market for new defenders as they prepare for the likelihood of Ibrahima Konate leaving on a free transfer.
With question marks over Joe Gomez’s future, the Reds could potentially find themselves requiring two new additions. Perhaps Gasiorowski may be one who comes into the conversation.
Ryan Flamingo is another to watch for Liverpool
Defenders are very much the name of the game for Liverpool in 2026, and as well as Gasiorowski, they could be keeping a close watch on how Ryan Flamingo does at Anfield.
The centre-back has been in and out of the starting XI so far this season, and there is a chance he does not start against Liverpool.
Name Yarek Gasiorowski
DOB (Age) 12/01/2005 (20)
Club PSV Eindhoven
Nationality Spanish
Position Centre-back
Foot Left
Height 190cm
However, the Reds have been linked with Flamingo, and the 22-year-old is certainly a talent worth keeping an eye on.
He and Gasiorowski will hopefully be tested by Liverpool’s attack in midweek, and if they stand firm, it may lead to interest intensifying.
There is plenty of talent within a PSV team who look destined to make it a hat-trick of Eredivisie wins this season, but above all and for what Liverpool need right now, these two stand out.
