**Pep Guardiola**talked about moving on from the weekend defeat at Newcastle United with a win against Bayer Leverkusen.
**Man City**could come up short in the Premier League title race again, but they have to focus on their work in the Champions League. They have beaten Villarreal, Borussia Dortmund, and Napoli, only dropping points at the death against Monaco, and with a tally of 13 points from five fixtures, they can have confidence of wrapping up a position in the top eight of the league phase this year.
Their continental campaign ended in the playoffs against Real Madrid last season, so the manager does not want to leave things to chance as the team look to put the pain of 2024/25 behind them.
As he coaches his 100th Champions League game as the leader of the Citizens, Pep is proud of that achievement and he knows nothing can be taken for granted against the elite of European football.
*“It’s immediately forgotten. A little bit thoughts but this is massively important. We have our way in the group stage. We make incredible good the four games. We got even again the Monaco we play outstanding and now we start the last four games two home two away with the team third in the table in Bundesliga. It is massively important game to finish what we want to finish in the first eight.*
“One more point we'll be qualified for the next round in front of the 23 or 24 teams like last season.
"I realise I'm getting old. Every weekend is a milestone. Every season we have been there and hopefully next season we will be there too. It's special for the players, managers and everyone. To challenge yourself with the best teams in Europe is incredible, a huge experience. For the club, in terms of repetition, prestige, financial issues, it's massively important.
"There are more disappointments than good moments. There have been good moments, especially in group stages, we have been top every season, except last season with the new format. But of course it has been a top experience - good moments, bad moments define a team, a club. And sport is tough so not everything is flowers (on the) road or easy and comfortable."
