Former Milwaukee Bucks star point guardDamian Lillard returned to Cream City on Monday for the first time since parting ways with the team in the offseason. Milwaukee decided to let Lillard go in the summer while also stretching his remaining salary. That move allowed Lillard to reunite with the Portland Trail Blazers, who will always be the team Lillard will be associated with first.
Nevertheless, the Bucks showed the guard all the love on Monday.
Before the contest, Lillard and Milwaukee superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo even had a moment, as the former teammates greeted each other on the sideline.

Both Lillard and Antetokounmpo are nursing injuries. Lillard is not playing the entire 2025-26 campaign because of a torn Achilles, while Antetokounmpo has missed three games with a groin issue.

The absence of Antetokounmpo was felt once again by Milwaukee in the Blazers game, as the Bucks picked up a 115-103 loss.
Ryan Rollins, who usually leads Milwaukee when Antetokounmpo is not around, only had 10 points on a salty 4-for-14 shooting, while Bobby Portis paced the Bucks with 22 points off the bench. Meanwhile, Portland got 35 points from Jerami Grant and 22 more from Deni Avdija.
Milwaukee will attempt to break its skid again this Wednesday against the Miami Heat on the road.
