All of Liverpool’s plans seem to have gone out of the window following their terrible start to the season.
The Reds looked like they were in a very good position over the summer after the transfer window they had, with it looking like they would retain their title with relative ease.
This has been far from the case, though, and with Liverpool sitting in the bottom half, even below the likes of Everton and Man United, their goals have changed massively.

This has a knock-on effect for their transfer plans too, with the January window not far around the corner now, and fans will be expecting big things.
Fabrizio Romano has given an update on their strategy too, and it looks like they might be about to take a massive U-turn on previous plans.

Liverpool are likely to make at least one signing in January
There has been plenty of noise around the club in regards to potential winter transfers, but the general consensus was that they would wait until the summer.
This is because their squad is stacked with top talent and Liverpool were happy with their summer business, but things now look very different.
Romano has confirmed that the Reds’ hierarchy may be starting to change their minds, and that they may bring their plans forward to get out of this rut.
MORE LIVERPOOL STORIES
“I think it’s a possibility [that Liverpool make a signing in January],” Romano said on the Here We Go Podcast.
“It’s something that, maybe if you ask me this question in September or early October, the answer was probably Liverpool didn’t want to do anything else because they were very happy with their summer transfer window. They invested a lot of money.
“So Liverpool were really excited to see this team performing despite a difficult start in terms of long term.
“Now obviously is already more than three months into the season. Liverpool are doing very bad and so they are considering the possibility to enter into the January transfer window with some sort of activity.
“We will see about the positions because this could depend on the next weeks. So nothing will be decided now, today, tomorrow or next week. It might take some time, some weeks, to decide maybe which position they want to cover.

“But Liverpool start considering internally the possibility to add maybe one player in the January transfer window and again, based on injuries, based on opportunities, based on the market, we will see what they want to do.”
This is a pivotal time for the future of Liverpool
Games come thick and fast over this festive period, with this period in the season absolutely pivotal for the future of the club.
Of course Liverpool will have one eye on the January transfer window, but a lot of their activity will depend on who the manager is.
Slot is under massive amounts of pressure and if results do not pick up soon, he very likely will not be in charge by the new year.
The majority of Liverpool fans already think he should be sacked, so there will not be much sympathy for him in the coming weeks, but future transfer plans will be put on hold until his future is decided.
