This Barcelona team have been through some tough times, and in terms of being a pure winning machine they aren’t the Pep Guardiola team at their peak – but Chelsea fans shouldn’t be taking tonight’s game likely.
The stats about this Hansi Flick team, when stacked up together, are pretty scary.

On the London is Blue podcast, their analyst CFC Central took at some of the numbers behind Flick’s team:
“They scored 102 goals in La Liga last season. They beat second placed Real Madrid by 24 goals, which is a sizeable number,” Central explained.
“This season they have 36 goals in 13 games, again well ahead of Real. Hansi Flick in general has a really good record in the Champions League. I believe whatever side he’s managed in the Champions League has never failed to score. Barcelona have also scored in 24 consecutive Champions League games, and they’ve produced 67 goals in that run.
“The average goals in a Champions League game involving Barcelona is 4.8.”
Well, that makes our task tonight pretty clear, right? They’re probably going to score, so we need to score too. Their defence is less scary than their attack, but if we concede two quick goals we can see morale tanking quickly.
We need to show the same determination and physicality we did against Burnley on Saturday, as well as some more attacking fluency.
