Packers’ Emanuel Wilson grabs attention with first post after Week 12 breakout

Emanuel Wilson was one of the biggest stories in Week 12, at least over the side of the Green Bay Packers.

With star running back Josh Jacobs sitting out last Sunday’s home game against the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay gave Wilson the chance to start in the backfield.

The former undrafted free agent did not let his team down, as he made the most of the opportunity, as Green Bay decided to lean largely on its rushing attack on offense.

He led the Packers with 107 rushing yards to go with two touchdowns on 28 carries. Wilson scored his first touchdown in the game in the opening quarter to put Green Bay on the board. He later scored on the ground again in the third quarter to stretch Green Bay’s lead.

Wilson shares 1-word post after huge performance in Packers-Vikings

Wilson (23) bulls his way forward during the third quarter of their game against the Vikings Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

On Monday, the 26-year-old Wilson shared an Instagram post to seemingly celebrate the memorable Week 12 he had during the23-6 win against the Vikings.

“Opportunity‼️” Wilson wrote in the post that also shows videos of his touchdowns versus Minnesota.

Wilson has now put together two consecutive solid outings. He had 40 rushing yards and a touchdown on 11 carries in the win over the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in Week 11. He could be back to his role as an insurance behind Jacobs in Week 13 against the Detroit Lions, but it’s become clearer that Green Bay has a stud backup it can count on when needed.
