After such an impressive first season under the Dutchman, nobody can quite believe the start the Reds have had to their title defence.
They find themselves 11 points off the top already, with eight losses in their last 11 games leaving many to question whether Slot is the right man for the job.

Based on the credit he has in the bank, he appears to be safe for now, but that does not mean fans are not left divided over what should happen to him.
This debate has been rife on social media since Liverpool’s defeat to Nottingham Forest, and it shows no signs of slowing down, so Rousing The Kop asked Reds fans whether they believe Slot should be sacked based on their current situation.

Majority of Liverpool fans want Arne Slot sacked
One of the biggest worries at Liverpool this season is that almost all of their performances have been very sub-par, with there being no signs of improvement either.
It is almost like they are not learning from their mistakes and a big part of this is on Slot, which is why a lot of fans appear to have turned on him already.
Asked whether they think Liverpool should sack Slot right now, 4,888 Reds fans weighed in with their opinion, and there was a clear preference.

A whopping 67.3% of supporters said they think the Dutchman should be sacked after defeat to Forest, showing just how fed up some of them are.

Should Liverpool sack Arne Slot?
Just 18.8% believe that he should be given more time, while 13.9% still cannot make their mind up, which is very understandable.
This is certainly a good indication of how much pressure Slot is under right now as if he does not turn things around quickly, then even more fans will turn on him, and fast.

Although he still has time to make a change, rumours are already starting to circulate about who could replace Slot, and there is a new name starting to crop up.
Xabi Alonso is being linked with the job, with the Real Madrid man under a little bit of pressure due to tension between players.

He was tipped for the vacancy before Slot but chose the Spanish giants first, but now their attention could turn to him again.
Time will very much have to tell on this one, though, as Slot and Alonso would need to lose their jobs at similar times, but Reds fans might not mind it at all if their former player took over from the Dutchman.
