The Times’ Paul Joyce has confirmed some team news ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League clash vs PSV Eindhoven.

The English champions have endured a torrid campaign thus far, with their domestic form particularly concerning—already accumulating five Premier League defeats, more than they suffered in the entirety of last season.

Despite this domestic malaise, Liverpool have shown resilience in Europe, winning three of their opening four Champions League fixtures including a memorable 1-0 victory over Real Madrid.

However, the Reds are set to be without a few players against the Dutch visitors at Anfield tomorrow evening.

Taking to X, Paul Joyce has confirmed that all of Jeremie Frimpong, Conor Bradley, and Florian Wirtz were not in training ahead of the clash:

“Florian Wirtz, Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong not training with Liverpool.”

While Bradley and Frimpong were already confirmed absentees, there remains uncertainty over Wirtz’s ailment.

Arne Slot previously stated that the German international would not be as long as Bradley, but this development suggests he is also ruled out for tomorrow night at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s right-back situation is no better.

Calvin Ramsay, who filled the bench against Forest in his first Premier League involvement in over three years, is not registered in Liverpool’s Champions League squad and therefore unavailable.

This leaves Joe Gomez as the likely option at right-back against PSV, though Slot has appeared reluctant to rely on the injury-prone defender.

Bradley is not expected back until mid-December, with the Brighton fixture on December 13 penciled in as a potential return date.

Frimpong is on a similar timeline, with Slot confirming the Dutchman “is out just as long”.

Liverpool face PSV at Anfield on Wednesday night (8pm GMT), sitting eighth in the Champions League table with nine points from four matches
