Premier League gameweek 12 of the 2025/26 season was perhaps the most tumultuous period of the campaign so far. WIth plenty of surprises, who made it into our team of the week?
Teams such as Everton, Nottingham Forest and Arsenal all picked up big wins over the weekend – which of them has the biggest representation in our weekly XI?
GK: Jordan Pickford
England’s number one showed why he is Thomas Tuchel’s first choice between the sticks with a fine display against Manchester United.
Jordan Pickford made numerous excellent saves as ten-man Toffees recorded a famous win at Old Trafford.
RB: James Garner
James Garner’s introduction to the game was an unfortunate one, as he replaced Everton captain Seamus Coleman in the 10th minute.
Regardless, he put in an faultless performance at right back and registered an assist for the only goal of the game.
CB: Murillo
Expectations are low at Liverpool at the moment, but no one saw this coming Nottingham Forest battered the Reds on their own turf, with Murillo opening the scoring for the Trees.
He netted a very smart finish and went on to secure a clean sheet for his team.
CB: James Tarkowski
When Idrissa Gueye was sent off for Everton against Manchester United, the workload of Everton’s centre backs immediately skyrocketed.
Thankfully, they were both up to the task, with James Tarkowski putting in a trademark war horse-esque display.
LB: Nicolo Savona
New boy Nicolo Savona is starting to look like one of the Premier League’s more underrated summer signings.
He proved his worth on Saturday, as Nottingham Forest romped to a 3-0 away win at Liverpool – the Italian scored their second goal of the game just after the break.
