Everton went down to 10 men early in the first half against Manchester United, but they still went on to claim a 1-0 win at Old Trafford.
It was a disappointing night as Manchester United lost 1-0 against Everton, throwing away a five-game unbeaten run as well as an opportunity to climb into the Premier League’s top four.
Ruben Amorim looked frustrated with his players on the sidelines after the team started the game slowly and failed to respond to Everton’s red card or opening goal.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored the only goal in the game with a curling effort in the 29th minute.
Sadly, it was the first time United lost to 10 men at Old Trafford, breaking a 46-match record.
Former United defender Rio Ferdinand described it as a ‘painful’ watch on Monday night.
United need to bounce back quickly when they take on Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Ruben Amorim shares honest verdict on Everton red card
Speaking after the match, Amorim made it clear he disagreed with the decision to send off Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye in the 13th minute.

Bruno Fernandes came close to scoring when Gueye and Michael Keane began arguing.
Former United defender Keane pushed Gueye away not once but twice before the Senegal midfielder slapped him with an open hand.
The Everton pair had to be separated by goalkeeper Jordan Pickford before referee Tony Harrington showed Gueye a straight red card for violent conduct.
When asked about the decision, Amorim told reporters (via Manchester Evening News): “Fighting is not a bad thing, it doesn’t mean they don’t like each other. I don’t agree with that sending off, we can fight with teammates.
“I hope my players, when they lose the ball, they fight each other. They cannot be a sending off, but my players show many games that we can do it. Today we didn’t manage to do it.”

While it wasn’t the same as Lee Bowyer and Kieran Dyer, who infamously went for blows during Newcastle’s 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa in April 2005, it still looked crazy seeing two teammates go at it in front of the Stretford End.
David Moyes agrees with Ruben Amorim on Idrissa Gana Gueye red card
It obviously helps David Moyes that Everton took three points from the game and that the red card didn’t make matters worse for the Toffees, but he had a similar response to Amorim when asked about the dismissal.
Moyes stressed that he wants his players to be ‘tough’ and not to accept someone on their team not doing well enough.
“Do you know something, I quite like when my players have a fight,” said Moyes, as quoted by BBC Sport.
“I’m sort of saying I want them to be tough.
“I don’t want them to accept someone not doing well enough. Someone didn’t do the right thing.
“If you want a winning team, and that resilience and toughness that got us the result, you have to have players who are going to act that way.”
Gueye took to social media after the match to apologise to Keane and the fans.
Maybe United need more fighters in the team, which is why many fans are expected to see Lisandro Martinez back in the team.
