The Minnesota Vikings have a 4-7 record this season in the NFL and they are on the verge of missing the playoffs. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy has not produced much this season when he has been on the field.

He was out for with an injury earlier in the season for Minnesota. Carson Wentz played in some games for the Vikings before suffering a season-ending injury. McCarthy has played in a few games since Wentz’s injury and has not looked much better. Lately, the Vikings quarterback is in concussion protocol. Many people are even wondering when he suffered a concussion during the game this past Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.

There are a lot of NFL fans who are wondering why McCarthy is even in the protocol. Some people believe that Minnesota is faking this again, so they don’t have to play him on the field. This is what some NFL fans had to say on Twitter about the Vikings quarterback:

Sam Darnold has the Seattle Seahawks in a playoff spot for now and Daniel Jones has the Indianapolis Colts in a playoff spot for now. As for McCarthy, the offense has been worse under him with the Vikings this season. Minnesota finished 14-3 last season record wise.
McCarthy has completed 54.1% of his passes for 929 yards, six touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He has also rushed for 120 yards on 23 carries and two touchdowns, along with averaging 5.2 yards per carry. McCarthy is only 22 years old, but is it time to already call him a bust?
Head coach Kevin O’Connell can’t be happy with what is going on this season. A lot to blame for the McCarthy issues and wanting him falls on general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah.
