Everton managed to beat Manchester United 1-0 on Monday afternoon – and opposition boss Ruben Amorim has praised the Toffees.
Everton went a man down inside 15 minutes when Idrissa Gana Gueye was sent off, but the 10 men rallied and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s goal was enough to secure an unlikely three points.
It was the first time in Premier League history that a team with a red card had won at Manchester United, and Ruben Amorim has come under fire.
But, despite the result, he has stated that David Moyes’ side deserved to win despite being a man down, claiming the Toffees were the better team on the night in a landmark victory.

Ruben Amorim says Everton were the better side and deserved their win
Speaking after Everton had stunned his Red Devils, Amorim said on Sky Sports’ coverage of the game: “They deserved to win.
“We had a lot of chances in the second half through crosses and second balls.
Everton made history with THAT win at Old Trafford!
“But the quality and decision-making wasn’t there. Everton were the better team.”

The stats showed that United were the better side on paper, having 25 shots, nine corners to Everton’s one, as well as making twice as many passes.
But a resolute defence kept them out and Everton can now look forward to securing a top-half place should they beat Newcastle next week.
Everton handed encouragement going into the rest of the Premier League season
Everton ended a lot of hoodoos in the famous win.
The Toffees broke that record that United had held for over 33 years, whilst David Moyes managed to grab his first away win at Old Trafford during his Premier League tenure.
A night to remember for Everton. It was their first Premier League win at Old Trafford since 2013.
Everton are now above Liverpool in the table as well, despite the Reds winning their first five games in the Premier League campaign.
The win over the Red Devils means that the current campaign seems slightly different, due to the attacking talent that now plies its trade at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
A European spot isn’t out of the question for the Toffees, and if David Moyes can repeat his West Ham heroics on Merseyside, it would make his return the perfect appointment.
