Real Madrid could sack Xabi Alonso after Olympiacos
Liverpool face PSV on Wednesday, while Madrid are taking on Greek outfit Olympiacos away from home.
Los Blancos are three points off top spot going into the midweek games, as are the Reds.
Ahead of November 26’s action, though, it has now been claimed that Alonso could be sacked if he loses in Europe this week.

As quoted by El Chiringuito, journalist Pipi Estrada said: “There was a conversation between Florentino and José Ángel Sánchez.
“After what I’ve been told, the conclusion I’ve reached is that if on Wednesday they lose to Olympiacos, he’ll be dismissed.”
Liverpool and Real Madrid’s Champions League chances predicted
Ahead of what could prove to be a defining moment in Alonso’s career, Opta’s supercomputer has named the most likely winner of each Champions League game this week.
Madrid are heavy favourites to beat Olympiacos, being given a 64.4% chance of doing so.
As for Liverpool, Opta say they have a 69.4% chance of picking up three points against their upcoming Dutch opponents.

The Reds last met PSV in January 2025, losing 3-2 after Slot rested a number of senior players, including Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.
