Mikel Arteta has admitted he is "confident" Martin Odegaard will be in the Arsenal matchday squad to face Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
The Gunners welcome the German giants to Emirates Stadium looking to make it five wins from five in the Champions League. Odegaard was spotted in training on Tuesday and is in contention to return to the matchday squad.
Asked about Noni Madueke, Gabriel Martinelli and Odegaard, Arteta said: "Yeah they are and we're going to have a meeting now to decide on Martin. We are confident he can be in the squad."
On Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz, the Spaniard added: "Really good both of them, in the next few days they will have scans to see if we can push them for the weekend."
Gabriel Jesus is another player nearing a return. The former Manchester City striker has not played since injuring his knee in the FA Cup clash against Manchester United back in January.
The Brazilian has been training for the past few weeks, however, and is slowly building up his fitness. Arteta hinted that the 28-year-old will feature in a behind-closed-doors match in the coming days.
"Yeah, he's quite close to be fair and it's earlier than expected," Arteta said. "In the next few days he'll have another chance with a game that we're going to organise for him."
