Bayern Munich have been handed a major boost ahead of their clash with Arsenal. Joshua Kimmich and Serge Gnabry have trained on Tuesday ahead of the game.
That’s according to Sky Germany. They report that both players were present at Bayern’s final training session on Tuesday.
The pair had been a doubt for the trip to the Emirates. Kimich was rested in the 6-2 win over Freiburg following an injury to his ankle. Gnabry, meanwhile, was sidelined with knee problems.
But both participated in the final training session in Munich on Tuesday before departing for London. There were boosts elsewhere too as Lennart Karl is also fully recovered from a hip injury and Alphonso Davies is back in the group. He’s been slowly coming back after a torn cruciate ligament injury.
Kimmich is now expected to start the game against Arsenal. Gnabry is also in line for a start in place of the suspended Luis Diaz. That, though, is not a final decision by any means.
Bayern lead the Champions League group after four wins in four matches. Arsenal have also won all of their games and are level with the German giants. It’s set to be a battle of the best in Europe, and Bayern have been boosted by the return of two key players.
