We are now twelve weeks into the 2025/26 NFL season and our Week 12 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings are out. One of the league’s best QBs fell out of the top 5 after a horrendous performance this week while others put together signature wins.

Week 12 had multiple games to go overtime. The stars (mostly) shined and there were four teams on bye this week but through 12 weeks I think we have a pretty clear idea of who the league’s best quarterbacks are. And in this week’s Quarterback Power Rankings the league’s best started to crowd the top.

Week 12 Quarterback Power Rankings: Every NFL Quarterback Ranked This Week

If you missed the Week 11 Quarterback Power Rankings you can follow that link but this is Week 12. The #1 QB this week, again, held onto his spot. He has been an absolute STUD this season! But we are here to see how every NFL quarterback performed this week so let’s get to it!

32. Tyrod Taylor – New York Jets (Prev. Unranked)

Tyrod Taylor debuts at #32 in the Week 12 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings. He doesn’t have much to work with on the Jets squad but so I guess his stats look better in that light but they still got blown out.

Tyrod was 17/28 for 1 TD, 1 INT, and 222 yards. In a game where Lamar Jackson was virtually non-existent for the Ravens’ offense, Tyrod Taylor seemed to mirror that for the Jets. He will need to do something in order to move up in the power rankings.

31. J.J. McCarthy – Minnesota Vikings (Prev. 25)

J.J. McCarthy has not looked good. In his very first start of the season it took last-second magic to pick up the win. Since coming back from injury, he seems to get worse each week.

In Week 12, J.J. McCarthy was 19/19 passing for a whopping 87 yards. He threw 2 interceptions and his team only managed to score 6 total points while getting stomped by the Packers at Lambeau Field. It was an ugly game for the Vikings and McCarthy.

30. Marcus Mariota – Washington Commanders (Prev. 27)

Marcus Mariota has been starting for the injured Jayden Daniels. The Commanders were on bye this week. Daniels has returned to practice ahead of Week 13 and it remains to be seen who the starter will be when Washington hosts the Broncos this coming Sunday.

29. Cam Ward – Tennessee Titans (Prev. 31)

Cam Ward, Tennessee Titans

This might have been Cam Ward’s best game of the season. I say that because he had zero turnovers. Did he win? No. But he didn’t lose the game himself this week.

Cam Ward was 28/42 passing for 256 yards, 1 touchdown, and 0 interceptions. He had a rushing TD on top of 37 yards on the ground but the Titans lost at home 30-24 to the Seahawks.

28. Shedeur Sanders – Cleveland Browns (Prev. 32)

After debuting at #32 in last week’s NFL QB Power Rankings, Shedeur Sanders moves up to #23 in the Week 12 Quarterback Power Rankings. Did he have a flashy performance? No. Did he get the W? Yes.

Shedeur was 11/20 passing for 209 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. His passer rating of 87.3 left soem to be desired but there were a few flashes of brilliance throughout the game.

27. Tyler Shough – New Orleans Saints (Prev. 23)

Tyler Shough and the New Orleans Saints lost at home 24-10 to NFC South rival Atlanta. Tyler Shout fell from 23rd to 27th in the Week 12 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings after proving himself to be pretty ineffective this week.

Shough was 30/43 passing for 243 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 1 interception. He also had a lost fumble during the loss. He’ll need to do a LOT more if New Orleans wants to turn their season around at all.f

26. Kirk Cousins – Atlanta Falcons (Prev. Unranked)

Michael Penix Jr.

Kirk Cousins is at #26 in this week’s NFL Power Rankings. He was 16/23 passing for 2 TDs and 1 interception / 1 fumble. Kirk got the win on the road against the Saints but at this point we need to see more from him before moving him up further in the power rankings because everyone has to debut on the list somewhere.

25. Tua Tagovailoa – Miami Dolphins (Prev. 24)

Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins were on bye this week. They’ll face the Saints at 1pm this Sunday. Tua has been ALL over the place in the weekly NFL Quarterback Power Rankings and it’s always fun to speculate on which version of Tua will show up on any given Sunday.

24. Mason Rudolph – Pittsburgh Steelers (Prev. 21)

Aaron Rodgers with the Pittsburgh Steelers

After coming in last week to replace the injured Aaron Rodgers, Mason Rudolph got his first start of the season for the Steelers. He was 24/31 passing for 171 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception.

A costly lost fumble might have been the difference maker as the Steelers lost to the Bears 28-31 on the road.

23. Baker Mayfield / Teddy Bridgewater – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Prev. 6)

Welp, it was no fun to watch and it brings me zero joy to drop Baker Mayfield so far in the weekly NFL Quarterback Power Rankings but he (and Teddy) fall from 6th to 23rd this week.

Baker Mayfield reportedly suffered a low-grade strain in his non-throwing shoulder. It remains to be seen how long he will be out. But he was just 9/19 passing for 1 TD and 2 interceptions against the Rams before going out of the game injured and getting replaced by Teddy Bridgewater. The Bucs are 6-5 now but facing a 3-game losing streak.

22. Joe Flacco – Cincinnati Bengals (Prev. 15)

Joe Flacco with the Cincinnati Bengals

Joe Flacco seems to have lost some of that early mojo he picked up when he joined the Bengals. He drops from 15th to 22nd this week in the Week 12 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings after a loss to the Patriots.

Flacco connected on just 19 of his 37 pass attempts. He had 183 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. It wasn’t a horrible performance for Flacco by any means but he’s just regressing to how he was playing earlier in the season.

21. Geno Smith – Las Vegas Raiders (Prev. 30)

Geno Smith was actually 7th in passing yards this week despite picking up a loss at home to the Cleveland Browns, the first of Shedeur Sanders’ career as a starter. Geno was 30/44 passing for 284 yards, 1 touchdown, and 0 interceptions.

Smith was sacked TEN TIMES. He lost 77 yards on those sacks. It’s a miracle he could walk after the game after taking that many sacks. And it’s no wonder he had 2 fumbles (1 lost).

20. Bryce Young – Carolina Panthers (Prev. 19)

Bryce Young comes in at 20th in the Week 12 Quarterback Power Rankings. He lost on the road to the 49ers but the Panthers are still 6-6 on the season.

Bryce connected on 18 of 29 pass attempts for 169 yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions. The two turnovers proved costly and Carolina ultimately fell 20-9 to San Francisco.

19. Jared Goff – Detroit Lions (Prev. 22)

Jared Goff jumps to 19th in this week’s NFL Quarterback Power Rankings after a home win against the Giants. Goff was 28/42 passing for 279 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. He did enough to get the win. Nothing too flashy but worthy of a bump in the power rankings.

18. Lamar Jackson – Baltimore Ravens (Prev. 11)

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson fell in the Week 12 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings from 11th to 18th. Since coming back from injury, Lamar Jackson has fallen from 2nd to 8th to 11th and now to 18th.

Lamar was 13/23 passing for 153 yards and 0/0 TD/INT. He fumbled the ball once and had 11 rushing yards. Ultimately, he seems to be pretty ineffective at QB aside from one great game when he came back.

17. Bo Nix – Denver Broncos (Prev. 17)

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix

Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos were on bye this week. So he holds his #17 spot during the off week. They come back this Sunday in the night game against the Commanders which should be a very winnable game for Nix and the Broncos.

16. Jordan Love – Green Bay Packers (Prev. 20)

Jordan Love Green Bay Packers quarterback

Jordan Love moved up four spots in the Week 12 FL Quarterback Power Rankings. He blew out the Vikings at home, winning 23-6.

Love was 14/21 passing. He threw for 139 yards and a 0/0 TD/INT split. No fumbles. He was doing just enough to pick up the easy win while avoiding any costly mistakes.

15. Justin Herbert – Los Angeles Chargers (Prev. 16)

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert

Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers were on bye this week. He’d dipped in the power rankings in recent weeks but moves up one spot while sitting on the couch in Week 12. The Chargers will host the Raiders this Sunday in the 4pm slate of games.

14. Jameis Winston – New York Giants (Prev. 28)

Nothing in Week 12 brought me more joy than seeing Jameis Winston back to his old ways. Did he win? No. Did he put in a Jameis-esque performance for the ages? Sure did.

Jameis threw for 366 yards (18/36), 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. He also CAUGHT a pass for a touchdown from #80 Gunner Olszewski. It was a classic Jameis Winston performance and from a purely energetic standpoint he was #1 in most people’s eyes this week.

13. Trevor Lawrence – Jacksonville Jaguars (Prev. 18)

Trevor Lawrence moves from 18th to 13th in this week’s NFL Quarterback Power Rankings. He was all over the place, again, and constantly turning the ball over but also constantly scoring.

Trevor Lawrence was 18/30 passing for 256 yards. He threw 3 interceptions (1 INT) but also had 3 touchdown passes and 29 rushing yards. The Jags beat Arizona 27-24 in overtime and Trevor both earned the win while nearly costing his team the loss. It was an exciting game all around.

12. Brock Purdy – San Francisco 49ers (Prev. 7)

In his second week back from injury, Brocky Purdy dropped five spots in the Week 12 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings. He looked razor sharp last week returning from injury. This week? Not so much.

Purdy coughed up 3 interceptions and threw just 1 touchdown. He was 23/32 passing for 193 yards. But all of that was enough to beat the Carolina Panthers 20-9 at home.

11. Davis Mills – Houston Texans (Prev. 12)

Texans quarterback Davis Mills

Davis Mills moved up another spot in the NFL Quarterback Power Rankings this week from 12th to 11th. With C.J. Stroud in concussion protocol, Davis Mills has stepped up as that dude.

He was 16/30 passing for 153 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. With the win over Josh Allen and the Bills, the Texans moved to 6-5 on the season and are currently riding a 3-game winning streak.

10. Sam Darnold – Seattle Seahawks (Prev. 13)

After dropping out of the top 10 last week, Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold is back in the top 10 of our NFL Quarterback Power Rankings. He threw FOUR interceptions last week against the Rams and at least coming into this week knew that he needed to shut down the turnovers.

Darnold was 16/26 passing for 244 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. He also had 0 fumbles. It was a great 30-24 win against the Titans on the road where Darnold shined.

9. Caleb Williams – Chicago Bears (Prev. 14)

Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams has finally cracked the top 10 of the NFL Quarterback Power Rankings. He comes in at #9 this week after orchestrating a gritty win at home against the Steelers.

Caleb Williams was 19/35 passing for 239 yards. He threw for 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. Caleb’s long misstep was a lost fumble but he still pulled off a signature win at home.

8. Patrick Mahomes – Kansas City Chiefs (Prev. 10)

Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes was ballin’ out this week. He was 29/46 passing for 352 yards. He somehow had 0 touchdown passes with all of those yards and he threw an interception but Patty was able to put his kicker into position to get points on the board repeatedly and that’s what his team needed.

This felt like a major emotional victory for the Chiefs who came from behind to win 23-20 against the Colts at home.

7. Josh Allen – Buffalo Bills (Prev. 3)

Bills QB Josh Allen

This was arguably the strangest performance of Josh Allen’s career. He was coming off a 6 touchdown performance in Week 11 but drops 4 spots in the Week 12 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings after throwing 2 interceptions and 0 touchdowns while losing to the Texans.

Josh Allen was 24/34 passing and had a QBR of just 25.8. It was impossible to predict a performance like this after Josh Allen looked so spectacular in Week 11. Is there cause to worry going forward? We’ll find out soon enough.

6. Jacoby Brissett – Arizona Cardinals (Prev. 8)

Jacoby Brissett has looked dialed in since he debuted for the Cardinals with Kyler Murray out. He was 33/49 passing this week for 317 total passing yards, 1 passing TD, and 0 interceptions. Ultimately, Arizona fell 27-24 to the Jags but Jacoby Brissett was doing everything he could under the sun and came *this close* to pulling it off.

5. Jalen Hurts – Philadelphia Eagles (Prev. 9)

Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts moved up in the NFL Quarterback Power Rankings this week despite the Eagles losing on the road in Dallas. He put in a solid performance, connecting on 27 of 39 pass attempts for 289 yards, 1 touchdown, and 0 interceptions.

Jalen Hurts ran two touchdowns in but it wasn’t enough to hold Dallas off from the 24-21 comeback. Philly has to be scratching their heads about how they let Dallas come back in that game.

4. Daniel Jones – Indianapolis Colts (Prev. 5)

Indianapolis Colts starting quarterback Daniel Jones

Daniel Jones looked sharp this week but the Colts lost in overtime to the Chiefs. Jones was 19/31 passing for 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. It seemed he picked the wrong time to face Patrick Mahomes who moved heaven and earth to seal the come-from-behind win at home.

Through 12 weeks this season, Daniel Jones ranks 12 in TDs (17), 4th in passing yards (2,840), and he has only throw 7 interceptions through 12 weeks which is pretty spectacular.

3. Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys (Prev. 4)

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott really has looked phenomenal this season and the same is true in Week 12. He comes in at #3 in the NFL Quarterback Power Rankings, moving up one spot.

Dak was the mastermind behind the Cowboys’ comeback. He was 23/36 passing for a total of 354 yards, 2 TDs, and 1 interception. Dak also ran one into the end zone himself en route to the 24-21 come-from-behind win against the reigning Super Bowl champs.

2. Drake Maye – New England Patriots (Prev. 3)

Drake Maye moves up 1 spot in the NFL Quarterback Power Rankings this week. He was 22/35 for 294 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception.

The Patriots beat Cincy to move to 10-2 on the season. Through 12 weeks, Drake Maye leads the league in passing yards (3,130) and ranks 4th in touchdowns. He has been balling out week after week and deserves every bit of his #2 spot.

1. Matthew Stafford – Los Angeles Rams (Prev. 1)

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford

© Kyle Terada-Imagn Images

Holding firm in the #1 spot (again) is Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. He has held the #1 spot in the weekly NFL Quarterback Power Rankings for months and has emerged as the clear #1 QB in the league this season.

Against the Buccaneers, Stafford was 25/35 passing for 273 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. He has thrown 18 touchdowns in his past 5 games, has thrown 7 more touchdown passes than any other QB, is 5th in passing yards this season, and has only thrown 2 interceptions through 12 weeks. He’s having an unbelievable season so far.
