The Chicago Bears didn't make things easy once again on Sunday, but prevailed for their third-straight victory, holding on 31-28 on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Bears had a lot of adversity facing them this week, and while it wasn't always pretty, all that matters is that they got the job done in the end. Defensively, the unit was ravaged by injuries in the back seven. With Tremaine Edmunds going on injured reserve as well as Noah Sewell and TJ Edwards nursing injuries, Dennis Allen had his work cut out for him with what he had at the linebacker position. To make matters even more precarious, Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon were once again held out at cornerback, leaving vulnerabilities in the secondary.
On offense, it was another choppy, albeit still productive day for this unit. The run game took some time to find its groove against a stout Steelers defensive line, but there was more success through the air. Even with relatively more success, the Bears still left plenty of plays on the field in the passing game, which ended up making this contest much closer than it needed to be in the end.
From an individual standpoint, there are a lot of takeaways to be made from this game. While many players stood out positively on Sunday, there were a few key players who struggled in the winning effort.
Here are the players who stood out the most to me from week 12.
