Jurgen Klinsmann thinks Chelsea sold a player who has now become‘absolutely world class’

With the excessive amount of player trading that takes place at Chelsea, there are certainly going to be some brilliant individuals who slip through the cracks.

The Blues parted ways with Noni Madueke over the summer, despite the fact that he had been a regular in the first team squad under both Mauricio Pochettino and Enzo Maresca.

Chelsea were keen to clear the pathway for Estevao Willian to make his mark upon joining before the season got underway. The Blues convinced Estevao he would be in for meaningful minutes when he joined.

The changing of the guard in the wide areas also saw Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho join the club, with the duo both starting to find their feet at Stamford Bridge.

Who is Chelsea’s best winger?

Jurgen Klinsmann describes former Chelsea star Christian Pulisic as ‘world class’

Previously, the position was being fought for by the likes of Christian Pulisic, however the American struggled to establish himself as a mainstay in the side.

He has enjoyed a far better time of things since leaving the club, and moving to AC Milan, where he is seen as one of their best players.

In fact, former USA manager Jurgen Klinsmann told CBS Sports that he believed Pulisic was ‘world class’, a tag very few at Stamford Bridge could claim.

During his time in West London, he registered 26 goals and 21 assists across 145 appearances, numbers which could not secure his place at the club any longer.

However, the American has exceeded both of those numbers in far fewer games for the Serie A giants, as he grows into the role of being a superstar.

Games 110

Goals 39

Chelsea fans will be wondering where this goalscoring form was when he was with them.

Pulisic’s breakout period came during Project Restart after the Premier League was suspended, with him scoring practically every week in the league, as well as finding the net in the FA Cup final.

The Blues will be happy with their current options out wide, especially Estevao who looks set for big things in the world of football for both club and country.
