Days before he turns 3, Patrick Mahomes’ son, Bronze, shows unique football skill

Bronze Mahomes doesn’t turn 3 until Friday. But already, the toddler can do something many adults can’t.

He can name each NFL team by just its helmet.

Surprised? Um, not really, given that Chiefs quarterback and three-time Super Bowl winner Patrick Mahomes is the father of the little boy with a big name, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.

You think they watch a lot of football in the Mahomes house?

Bronze’s mom, Brittany Mahomes, posted a video to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday that showed her holding up miniature NFL helmets, one-by-one, in front of her son so he could name the teams.

And one-by-one, from the Carolina Panthers to the Houston Texans, he did. Perfectly.

The Browns. The Vikings. The Cardinals. The Falcons.

“The Buffalo Bills.”

“The Bears from Sucago.” (That’s “Chicago” in Bronze-speak.)

He knew that the Saints are from New Orleans and the Raiders from Las Vegas.

“Good job, that was awesome,” his mom said, rewarding him with a high-five when he finished.

“This dude has been so dedicated to learn every team. Took him like a week and a half!!!” she wrote in the caption.

We would expect nothing less from a toddler we regularly see at home Chiefs games, who has already attended two Super Bowls, though he was caught sleeping through one of them.

When he was just 8 months old, he and his parents made a trip to the emergency room after he had a scary run-in with peanuts.

The discovery that Bronze has food allergies led his mom, co-owner of the Kansas City Current, to become a passionate advocate on behalf of children facing the same challenge.

This is Bronze’s birthday week. Last year his birthday, Nov. 28, fell on Thanksgiving Day.

Happy birthday, little dude.
