Back in 2022, the Green Bay Packers faced a tall task. With star quarterback Aaron Rodgers coming off his his second consecutive NFL MVP season (and fourth overall), the front office made some surprising changes on offense. All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams was traded ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft and Marquez Valdes-Scantling was allowed to walk in free agency.
As a result, the Packers found themselves in desperate need of wide receivers, and chose to look to the draft to restock the position as opposed to signing any big-name free agents (though they did take a flyer on Sammy Watkins, who did not last the year in Green Bay).
While they used both of their first round picks that year on defensive players (Quay Walker and Devonte Wyatt), the Packers also drafted three wide receivers: Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Samori Toure.
Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Samori Toure has signed with the New Orleans Saints

Due to the inexperience and lack of depth in the Packers’ wide receiver room in 2022, all three of their rookie pass catchers made the 53-man roster. Watson and Doubs quickly emerged as reliable targets in the passing game, but Toure (a seventh round pick) did not see the field very much.
In two seasons with Green Bay, Toure had 13 receptions for 160 yards and one touchdown.
Following training camp in 2024, Toure was released by the Packers while Watson and Doubs were retained due to their continued production. He signed with the Chicago Bears, but never appeared for a game for them.
Chicago released Toure following training camp in 2025, making him a free agent. The former Packers wide receiver was eventually signed by the Denver Broncos earlier this season, but was released at the end of October.
Now, he is being signed by the New Orleans Saints to be added to their practice squad:

The Saints are currently 2-9 and have three wide receivers currently on injured reserve. If Toure was to ever get another chance to appear in an NFL game, this situation appears to be the ideal one for him.
