Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has opted to select Estevao Willian in his starting lineup for Tuesday's Champions League fixture against Barcelona.
Maresca has also decided to introduce Reece James into the centre of midfield and play without a recognised number nine.
With Estevao remaining as an unused substitute against Burnley on Saturday afternoon, the Brazil international is given the chance to play on the right flank with Pedro Neto surprisingly being used down the centre of the attack.
Alejandro Garnacho is also brought into the team on the left and Argentine compatriot Enzo Fernandez is deployed as a number 10.
In defence, Wesley Fofana returns to the backine to partner Trevoh Chalobah, with Malo Gusto starting at right-back.
As expected, Moises Caicedo takes his place in the engine room having been kept in reserve at Turf Moor against Burnley.
Barcelona make two changes for Chelsea showdown
Meanwhile, Hansi Flick has made two changes to the Barcelona XI that started the 4-0 win over Athletic Bilbao at the weekend.
Ronald Araujo has been brought back into the middle of defence as a replacement for Gerard Martin, while Frenkie de Jong takes the spot of Dani Olmo having served a one-match domestic ban.
Raphinha is kept in reserve after his 81th-minute introduction at the weekend, and Marcus Rashford is also only named on the substitutes' bench after missing the previous game through illness.
Former Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen, as expected, only features among the replacements.
