Following Taylor’s media session, Burrow posted on Instagram, possibly hinting at his return.
He posted the 2014 photo of himself wearing a LeBron James jersey with the caption “He’s back.”
The photo was from when James announced his return to Cleveland, but Burrow might be saying he is back, without saying it.
Burrow pushed to make his return on Sunday against the New England Patriots.
The Bengals decided on Saturday that Burrow needed a little more time and did not activate him for the Patriots game.
Burrow suffered a grade 3 turf toe injury Sept. 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Two days later, he was put on the Injured Reserve (IR) list, and the question that was on everyone’s mind was: Would Burrow play again this season?
The initial timeline for his return ranged from Thanksgiving to mid-December, but it seemed the Bengals’ record could dictate whether ot not he returned at all.
Without their star quarterback, the Bengals have fallen to 3-8 and the playoffs seem like a long shot.
Despite the record, Burrow has been determined to get back on the field this season.
He made his return to practice on Nov. 10, which opened a 21-day window for the Bengals to activate him to the roster.
