Trail Blazers’ Broadcasting Reach Expands to Central Oregon

Portland Trail Blazers fans in Central Oregon will now have more opportunities to catch their team on TV. All regional Blazers games will be carried in high definition on COTV, Central Oregon Daily reported on Monday.

Central Oregon, the state’s fastest growing region, is comprised of Deschutes, Jefferson, and Crook counties. The region includes Bend, one of Oregon’s largest cities with a population of over 100,000, and the larger Bend-Redmond-Prineville metro area is home to 265,000 people, according to U.S. census data from March.

Combining these locally broadcast games with the nationally broadcast games available on ABC, ESPN, and NBC, nearly every Blazers game throughout the season will be available to viewers in the region. The exceptions are December 26th against the Clippers, an Amazon Prime exclusive, and January 26th against the Celtics, a Peacock exclusive.

COTV is carried through cable provider TDS Telecom on channel 11 or over the air for free on channel KNBZ 7.1 and on KOHD-2 18.2. KBNZ also offers two translators for nearby cities: K34AI-D in La Pine and K47LM-D in Prineville.
