Suns assign rookie Khaman Maluach to G League for Tuesday’s game

The Phoenix Suns assigned rookie center Khaman Maluach to the G League Valley Suns ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Rip City Remix at Mullett Arena.

This is not Maluach’s first trip over to Tempe, as the Suns have taken advantage of their proximity to their G League affiliate to give rookies some game reps this season.

Maluach, the No. 10 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, played three minutes in Monday’s loss the Houston Rockets, even with starting center Mark Williams sitting out for injury management. He had not played in Phoenix’s previous four games.

The 19-year-old has played 37 total minutes this season, sitting out more games than he’s played in for the Suns.

In the G League, Maluach has played one game so far, in which he received 26 minutes and scored nine points with three rebounds and three blocks.

Phoenix has a road game on Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings and another on Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
