Projecting Packers’ final record and playoff status ahead of pivotal Week 13 clash

The Green Bay Packers head to Detroit as 2.5-point underdogs in a Thanksgiving matchup that may well decide the division, depending on how the NFC North-leading Bears fare down the stretch. Looking ahead on the Packers’ schedule, as well as to the remaining slate for Detroit and Chicago, where will Green Bay end up in the playoff picture when the dust settles after Week 18?

Packers’ schedule and predicted game-by-game outcomes (current record: 7-3-1)

GB @ Detroit, November 27 – W: Packers 24, Lions 21: Jordan Love and Christian Watson hook up for a couple big throws that prove to be the difference in the game. The Lions can’t score on Green Bay’s defense on their final possession inside the two-minute warning.

GB vs Chicago, December 7 – W: Packers 27, Bears 20. Green Bay lets Chicago hang around, but the defense comes up big again as Micah Parsons sacks Caleb Williams to derail Chicago’s fourth-quarter comeback attempt.

GB @ Denver, December 14 – L: Broncos 23, Packers 17. Denver’s defense holds the Green Bay offense down in a hostile road environment.

GB @ Chicago, December 20 – L: Bears 24, Packers 23. Chicago claws its way to win another one-score game at home.

GB vs Baltimore, TBD – W: Packers 31, Ravens 24. Baltimore’s improved defense still isn’t enough to hold Green Bay in check. Parsons & Company do enough to hold down Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense.

GB @ Minnesota, TBD – W: Packers 24, Vikings 13. At this point, Minnesota is playing for pride. McCarthy is back under center and does a bit better than last time, but playing for the division, the Packers lock up victory when Josh Jacobs punches it in late to give them a two-score lead.

Final record: 11-5-1

Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons (1) sacks Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy (9) as Rashan Gary (52) moves in on the play during their football game Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Chi vs Cleveland, Dec 14 – W

Chi vs Green Bay, Dec 20 – W

Results: Packers finish a half-game up on the Lions to win the division, while the Bears’ 2-4 stretch run costs them a playoff spot altogether (Detroit claims the final Wild Card). In the NFC playoff picture, Green Bay ends up as the 3-seed, hosting the 6-seed 49ers in the first round.
