A Steelers Depot daily segment. A quick hit of some Pittsburgh Steelers-related stories that may not require a complete article, but nuggets worth mentioning and passing on to you guys.

Your Depot After Dark for Nov. 25.

WATT FAMILY TOGETHER

There weren’t many bright spots from the Steelers’ loss to the Chicago Bears. However, T.J. Watt made a huge play when he sacked Caleb Williams and forced the ball out of his hands. The Steelers scored a touchdown on that play, and it gave them a lot of momentum. It also allowed Watt to pass his brother, J.J. Watt, on the all-time sack leaders list.

That had to be a special moment for the whole Watt family. They were all in attendance, too. J.J. Watt shared some pictures on Twitter showing how special the game was for him and his family. He was in the broadcast booth for the game, which likely added a nice cherry on top. While the Steelers didn’t win, it was still a good day for the Watt family.

PLAYERS’ CLEATS

The NFL is a huge business and has a massive reach. It tries to use that for good, too. The league tries to support several good causes. That includes allowing players to support specific causes through the My Cause, My Cleats program. While players usually can’t wear custom cleats during games, that will change this week.

NFL players will be allowed to wear custom cleats representing a charity of their choice this week. Many Steelers are participating, as the team shared on its website. It’s the 10th straight year for the program, and players can auction off their cleats after wearing them, with the proceeds going to charity. It’s a fun program that blends style with goodwill.

STEELERS HELP FOR THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving is coming up soon, and thankfully, the Steelers aren’t one of the teams playing that day. Playing on a holiday can be fun, but it’s also essential for players to spend time with their families. However, the team is still trying to help the Pittsburgh community for the holiday.

Steelers Community Relations on Twitter showed the Steelers helping to distribute meals for Thanksgiving. They were also joined by the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins. It’s an example of how Pittsburgh’s sports teams try to uplift the city.
