Stephen Curry is without a doubt the greatest shooter in NBA history. He changed the league with his shooting and left all the other greats in the dust in terms of records. But Reggie Miller has now warned him about a current rookie star that could pose a threat.
With teams shooting three-pointers more than ever before, some players walk into the league as elite shooters. The Charlotte Hornets picked one such player in Kon Knueppel. He has made 63 three-pointers in his first 17 games, an excellent start. And Miller thinks he could one day overtake Curry.

“He’s winning Rookie Of The Year,” Miller said about Knueppel on The Dan Patrick Show. “And dare I say this, dare I say this: Is Stephen Curry going to be nervous in about 15 years?”

“Just go back and look at Steph’s first two or three years, in terms of three-pointers made, and what Kon has done this year. Just look at their first years.

“But here is the problem, you’ve got to stay healthy, longevity. You’ve got to stay healthy. 17 years, 18 years for Stephen Curry. Can Kon Knueppel do that over a long period of time? I want to see it.”
Steph is currently sitting on 4,131 made threes, an absurd number. He has surpassed Ray Allen by over 1,000, and nobody even comes close. For Knueppel to do it, he’ll have to have the ideal career. But if one of the greatest shooters ever in Miller thinks he can do it, that’s sure to give him some confidence.
