NBA superstar Stephen Curry puts brands ‘on alert’ in search for new shoe deal

Stephen Curry has been a unique NBA superstar in more ways than one. One of the things that set him apart was that he had partnered up with a ‘smaller brand’ for a player of his stature. For the majority of his career, Curry had a shoe deal with Under Armour.

However, Curry split with them after 12 years with the brand in 2025. This will have sent the other major shoe companies into a frenzy. Although he is in the final years of his career, Curry remains hugely popular. And since the split, he’s been teasing fans by wearing different shoes. He finally broke his silence on the matter.

“It’s cool understanding the history of the game and themes around certain teams we’re playing. I brought out the (Jordan) Flu Games and the Final Shots and then played in the Sabrina 3s,” Curry told the media during a press conference.

“Everybody should be on alert. I’m calling everybody. Trying to get some good product. It’s just fun to honor certain eras, moments in the game, current athletes who are doing great things. Just having fun with it.”

It will be interesting to see which brand manages to land Steph. Whichever company it is, the massive fanbase that he brings with him as the face of the Golden State Warriors, and indeed, the NBA, will provide a major boost for them.
