Chelsea fans taunt Barcelona star Lamine Yamal with cheeky chant in Blues' 3-0 win over Catalan side

Chelsea fans made sure to rub salt into the wounds of Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal with their chanting during their side's win over the Spanish giants. The Blues ran out 3-0 winners at Stamford Bridge, with 18-year-old superstar Yamal kept largely quiet on the evening.

In the build-up to the UEFA Champions League encounter between both sides, the first meeting of wonderkids Yamal and Estevao Willian generated a great deal of buzz. Chelsea's own 18-year-old proved that he can cut it at the highest level, while Lamine Yamal was subjected to taunts from the home support.

The Blues fans targeted the Barcelona man with chants of "You're just a sh*t Estevao" as he struggled to influence the game. The Spain international found himself effectively shackled by international teammate Marc Cucurella, who was named as the Man of the Match following an excellent showing.

While Estevao got on the scoresheet with a fine solo effort, Yamal was unable to contribute effectively, partly because his side was reduced to ten players in the first half. The youngster was taken off in the 80th minute for Dani Olmo, as Hansi Flick was left scratching his head at Stamford Bridge.

Lamine Yamal was comfortably Barcelona's best player on the night as he completed four dribbles, more than any player on either side. The teenager also won 12 duels, an indicator that he kept battling away as his teammates struggled around him.

Chelsea's Estevao enjoyed a fine display, scoring his side's second goal after a Jules Kounde own-goal had put them ahead in the first half. Liam Delap came off the bench to score their third goal in the second half of the encounter, rounding off the scoring on a memorable night for the Blues.

Chelsea youngster Estevao joins elite company in Barcelona thrashing

Chelsea sensation Estevao Willian became only the third teenager to score in each of his first three UEFA Champions League starts after finding the net against Barcelona. The Brazil international took his tally in this season's Champions League to three goals after he found the net in the second half.

Estevao was named in Enzo Maresca's starting XI for the game, and the 18-year-old repaid the trust with a fine goal in the 55th minute. He received a pass from Reece James before dribbling past Pau Cubarsi inside the Barcelona box and rifling an effort into the roof of Joan Garcia's goal.

The goal at Stamford Bridge followed goals against Ajax and Qarabag, and ensured that the 18-year-old scored in a third consecutive Champions League start. The other two players to have achieved the feat of scoring in their first three starts in the competition are Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
