Liverpool’s form under Arne Slot has fallen off a cliff in the last few months.
Shortly after the 2025 summer transfer window closed, Opta’s supercomputer made the Reds Premier League title favourites.
Nearly three months on, supporters have been calling for Arne Slot to be replaced following a run of six defeats in seven.

Liverpool are now 11 points adrift of first-place Arsenal, and John Terry has offered a fresh verdict on their chances of retaining their Premier League crown.
John Terry changes his mind on Liverpool winning the Premier League
Speaking in September, as per SportBible, the former Chelsea centre-back claimed the title was the Reds’ to lose.
He said: “I think it’s theirs to lose, to be honest. I think they have a big motivation with the very sad loss of Diogo Jota in the back of their minds as well. I really hope Liverpool do it for that reason alone, I think they’re the strongest side.
“I think Man City have shown vulnerability again this season, I’m not sure Chelsea have enough experience within their squad to push them and also I don’t want to put the pressure on the Chelsea squad.

“I think it’s Liverpool’s to lose and I wish them well for it.”
Now, taking to TikTok this week, he said: “Arsenal come to the Bridge at the weekend, that’s a very big game, I’m not saying it’s a title decider, but I think it will be one of the two teams, because, for me, Liverpool are 100% out of the title race.”

Supercomputer predicts Liverpool Premier League title chances
After 12 games of the campaign, Liverpool have set an unwanted record matched just once since all the way back in 1953/54 when they were relegated from the old Division 1.
On the back of the latest round of fixtures, Opta have updated their predicted Premier League table, and it doesn’t make for great reading.
Slot’s men are most likely to finish fourth, with just a 2.33% chance of winning the league in 2026.
Perhaps more concerning, their chances of securing a Champions League place right now are only 44.98%.
Arsenal are the current, clear favourites to take the Premier League crown this term (76.22%).
